Labor Relations and Time Management Software

Never underestimate the value of employee attendance and time management software particularly when it involves employee/labor relations. People make mistakes; that's why there are erasers on pencils. Ever hear that phrase before? It's one hundred percent true. However, some mistakes may not be forgivable even if they are accidental.

Sometimes the person making the error has to PROVE that the error was an oversight and not a deliberate attempt to defraud. As an employee, would you want to be accused of a misdeed regarding your timecard? If you were an employer, would you want to initiate a discipline investigation? If you were a union delegate, would you want to be referee between this? Employee attendance and time management software might make all these disasters a non-issue and help maintain cohesive employee/labor relations.

By federal statutes, the definition of 'labor dispute' includes any controversy concerning terms, tenure, or conditions of employment. The key word here is controversy: a staunch disagreement between two sides. No employee or employer wants to get bogged down with this. Are you reaching for that time management software yet?

Disputes

Employee/management disputes can be very complicated. Imagine if the dispute was based over a time sheet report of how many hours were actually worked resulting from an error or oversight made during the manual input of work hours?

Attendance and time management software would eliminate a minor problem like that before it became chaos for labor, management, and union alike. In order to solve a dispute between employer and employee, a union must step in to represent the employee and management must designate an official (usually an appointed labor management representative) to meet with the union reps. Everyone will end up being overworked.

The dispute process involves a series of grievance stages, all of which are complicated, and require highly detailed written reports that must be presented to management, reviewed and responded to, and then the response must be reviewed by the union and (hopefully) all parties can come to a decision. If not, then an arbitration process would have to be initiated. All of this is time and cost intensive. All of this is the result of not using an automated attendance and time management software program.

Avoid all these needless hassles. Shop around for an effective software program that will benefit everyone in the company, from the top on down!
