Stress Management: Tips to Relief Work Related Stress
Have you lost your day-to-day enthusiasm and your get-up-and-go energy? Do you feel tired, burned out and stressed because of financial worries?
Very rarely is burnout irreversible although it may take awhile to regain the thrill and original feelings of joy and enthusiasm to get back into the race. It is your duty to yourself to learn from past experiences and use the knowledge gained to your advantage.
Following are 3 tips that can help you reduce your levels of stress and tension from work and within your working environment:
- Learn to use time-management techniques and include times for rest and relaxation regularly. Taking regular little breaks throughout the day gives you the opportunity to gather your thoughts, relax, and relieve stress. If you are so engrossed in what you are doing, engage in some stretching exercises while sitting down and do some deep breathing for a minute or two. Most of the time that is all it takes to get revitalized!
- To be able to do a good job and meet the challenges of work and life, you have to invest an equal amount of time and care not only on your physical needs but also on spiritual needs. Fill your mind and body like you would your stomach with food. Read motivational materials, exercise, and eat nutritious foods. The higher quality of life enhancement that you will get from these simple steps alone will give you more energy to do more, relieve stress, and attract more good things into your life.
- Prioritize: Delegate or outsource tasks that are better done by people who possess the talents to do them well. We can not do everything ourselves, we simply do not have the infinite capacity to multi-task each and every little projects that make up the complete project we are so engrossed in. In the end, we end up not accomplishing what needs to be done. Do as much as you can, but realize that you can not do everything. You have to learn to let go to avoid stress and maintain your well-being and sanity
