Get Rid of Mind-Reader Approach to Communication
What is a "mind reader" syndrome? A person who has a mind reader syndrome always assumes that he can be understood by just merely looking at the person. Without saying a word with a certain person this person with a mind reader syndrome thinks that he can easily be understood by his partner. Many couples suffer from the mind reader syndrome. Although many couples don't realize it they already have this syndrome. This starts simply because couples don't know how to express how they feel. They don't know the right words to say.
Because of love many couples think that their partner can understand them whenever they feel bad. This is not a good thing to expect because it is so hard to anticipate someone to go to you and ask you if you have problems. You should know all people have their own problems. The only way to tell your partner properly how you feel is by being vocal about it. Mind reading can lead to something else; instead of making your relationship better it can worsen it.
Below are the lists of things that you can do to avoid having a mind reader approach syndrome
- Ask yourself about what you really feel.
- Inform your partner about how you feel.
- Do not assume that your partner can understand how you feel without you even explaining it to them.
- Evaluate yourself about how you react to certain situations, maybe you've been acting a little bit weird because you want to tell something that you can not say to your partner. Remember that your partner could get the wrong idea about it.
